Share Team Resources Smarter: Build the Hub First
By LiveBinders

As the year winds down, many teams are preparing to gather resources for the new year – a mix of links, files, and notes, all living in different places. But the hardest part isn’t just organizing it; its helping people know where to go and reliably use what’s been shared.
A binder isn’t just storage — it’s a hub.
To ease that burden, think of a binder as the placeholder for your resources. It lets you start sharing without needing everything to be added or perfectly organized right away. Because the tabs follow a clear 3-row hierarchy, people can rely on a consistent layout instead of hunting through deeply nested folders or randomly placed files.
Another benefit is that a binder is a closed environment. Your audience can’t accidentally disrupt the structure, create duplicates, or scatter content the way they can in shared drives. The tab layout stays intact as content grows, and that consistency builds trust that, over time, reduces confusion and email dependency because your team knows where to go to find what they need.
To get started, we recommend creating the binder first, then share the link with your team so they can bookmark it to their browser toolbar. Each time they open the binder, they will see your newly added content as you continue to build it out.
If you want a deeper look at this approach, we previously shared a short post about getting started without the pressure to create a perfect binder. It explores how starting before you feel ready can actually make organizing and sharing easier in the long run.
