<p>I literally have 6 inch traditional &#8220;paper&#8221; binders for both algebra and geometry.  When I initially discovered LiveBinders (what&#8230;like TEN years ago???) my &#8220;original&#8221; intent was to convert paper to digital so my students could access their work 24/7 in case of absence, extra help, extra practice, becoming experts!!  Fast forward to COVID and remote learning and those LiveBinders were INDISPENSABLE.  I created (somewhat crude) YouTube videos of me recording the daily lesson from home so that the addition of ME to each lesson personalized the lesson for my remote students.  THEN came &#8220;hybrid&#8221; classes (some kids home, some in school) and LiveBinders was there to, once again, accommodate THAT unique situation.  Our state adopts NEW math standards this year with LIMITED new curriculum to access. I am back at work (summer project) updating the binders so my kids won&#8217;t miss a beat with the new stuff (created by me) added to the OTHER algebra and geometry that hasn&#8217;t changed much in over 2000 years!!!</p>

<p>I assembled the Copyright and Censorship LiveBinder because my Television Production students were having a difficult time understanding the importance of observing copyright law. Many believed it was okay to include any music from iTunes and images from Google searches to enhance their TV programs, despite my various approaches and explanations. This LiveBinder speaks for itself, through carefully selected content that is especially engaging to a middle school audience. Now my students learn, first hand, the relevance of copyright and censorship to their work.</p>
<p>The binder tabs are organized by color, so that students can browse content according to learning style. Since using this binder, I have noticed more of my students taking copyright law into consideration during the editing process. I even overhear students reminding each other to observe the law.</p>
<p>The Public Domain and Creative Commons LiveBinder offers my students many options for using permitted audiovisual resources and ideas for creating original content.</p>

<p>The Trinity 8th Grade Integrated Science LiveBinder is a binder that I developed for my class. I have reorganized my class structure so that the three primary resources I use to manage curricular materials are: (1) a composition notebook &#8211; for illustrations, written assignments, and labs, (2) desktop/dropbox science folder &#8211; for downloaded handouts and other study materials, and (3) and MOST IMPORTANTLY this online notebook. As a teacher, I absolutely love the ways I have found to use LiveBinders!</p>
<p>My students use this LiveBinder almost daily. Uses I have found that have increased the rigor and relevance in my class are: obviously, to download notes that apply to the subject we are studying; as a link to Discovery Education where I can have students individually listen to videos and complete video listening guides; as a medium to post rubrics for student projects; as a link to educational games; as a link to lessons created by myself for students to listen to in a modified &#8220;flipped&#8221; classroom; and as a link to animations that demonstrate physics concepts.</p>
