Cyberbullying & Digital Citizenship
Cyberbullying is the use of digital tools such as social media or devices as a means to bully someone. Digital citizenship is the responsible use technology, including the internet. As educators, teaching and understanding both of these concepts is crucial, as new generations have access to more technology at younger ages than those preceding them. This digital landscape is vast, constantly changing, and still relatively new to us. Technology's educational potential is expansive, but it comes with certain risks, especially for young minds, which is why we must provide students with the tools and knowledge to be safe and responsible online, while also educating ourselves on what we can do to address these issues.
