Resources for Teachers - Teaching Students who are D/HH
As part of my AuD Capstone Project, I have created a LiveBinder containing helpful resources intended for general education teachers who have students who are deaf or hard of hearing in their classes. These resources include videos, interactive simulators/presentations, informational handouts, and customizable worksheets. Topics include explaining and demonstrating hearing loss, professionals involved in D/HH student care, interpreting audiology materials, effects of hearing loss (specific sections for mild and unilateral) on education, social, and behavioral development, IEP/504/accommodations for D/HH students, and tips for optimizing classroom acoustics.
