Comprehensive Assessment Program Binder
Create an online binder, using LiveBinders, with information about the different types of assessments that make up a comprehensive assessment program, including norm-referenced and criterion-referenced standardized assessments, formative and summative assessments, formal and informal assessments, self-assessments and affective assessments, portfolios, and performance assessments. This binder should be set up and organized in such a way that it could be shared with student teachers and new educators in your district.
Include the following topics in your binder. Each topic on the following list should be one tab in your binder:
Tab 1: Norm-Referenced and Criterion-Referenced Standardized Assessments
Tab 2: Formative and Summative Assessments
Tab 3: Informal and Formal Assessments
Tab 4: Self-Assessments and Affective Assessments
Tab 5: Portfolios
Tab 6: Performance Assessments
Tab 7: References
Include the following information for Tabs 1–6:
A description of the assessment(s), including their purpose/use, times when they are appropriate to use, and strengths and weaknesses (This information should be displayed in a graphic organizer. If two types of assessments are included in a topic or category, the graphic organizer should compare/contrast the characteristics of the two assessments.)
At least two examples of each assessment
Links to websites where additional information may be obtained on the topic
Create the final tab (Tab 7) as a reference page, with all resources listed according to APA guidelines.
