CUED Social Cognitive Theory Livebinder
My Livebinder is in English, primarily on the impacts certain books that has left a lasting impact on the moral and social developments of my own perspective of my own school experience. Mostly by imagining myself through the eyes of students struggling with identity and the pressures of social pressures and the consequences of actions. The examples provided are a combination of different book examples tailored towards eighth graders. The use of a video trailer on the book Wonderstruck is to get students interested in a book that is heavily influenced on the topic of deafness and how the power of using illustrations to convey their feelings is a way to connect with others. There’s PowerPoints on the subject of Imposter Syndrome and the key take aways students will have to make through inferences about the book during in class discussions to the audio. There’s infographic templates for an assignment for the book The 57 Bus tailored towards the main character’s emotional development and the influences of peer pressure. The PowerPoint slides on The Lady or The Tiger has methods of understanding themes, characterization, while The Christmas Carol has Infographic on Theme, Characterization and Figurative Language in a classroom setting. There’s other ways students can interact with literature through book annotations and word collages, all these activities are designed to encourage students creativity and understanding of literature to garner a better appreciation for English.
