Article 1: Bicameral means having or consisting of, or based on two legislative chambers. : 2 terms that are 6 years long and yes there are 6 terms in the house of representatives : Pender County's Representatives are Bill Rabon : The Senators for North Carolina is Bob Steinberg and he is a Rebuplican : The powers of the legislative branch are made up of the House and Senate, known collectively as the Congress. : The Powers/Responsibilities that only the house of Representatives can do are initiate revenue bills, impeach federal officials, and elect the President in the case of an Electoral College tie. : The Powers/Responsibilities that only the Senate can do are to confirm the President's appointments that require consent, and to provide advice and consent to ratify treaties. There are two exceptions to this rule, one is the House must also approve appointments to the Vice Presidency and the second is any treaty that involves foreign trade. : One is that the legislative branch makes laws, but the judicial branch can declare those laws unconstitutional. Another one is that the President in the executive branch can veto a law, but the legislative branch can override that veto with enough votes.
