Explore Working with Young Children is a one- or two-semester/trimester course that emphasizes careers and education paths and opportunities for employment in early childhood careers. Students explore practices and environments that promote child development and learning. This course addresses impacts of family and community relations, health, safety and nutrition. This is an introductory level course and is a prerequisite for Early Childhood Professions and the Education Assistant programs. FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) leadership activities are an integral part of this course.
