Course Description for Honors Algebra 1 from our Program of Studies --
Algebra 1 serves as the foundation for all subsequent mathematics courses. Linear, Quadratic, and Exponential expressions and functions will be studied using multiple representations. This course will deepen and extend students’ understanding of these functions and their relationships. Other topics include: systems of equations, polynomial operations, absolute value functions, and statistics. We will use technology, such as graphing calculators, and online graphing tools throughout the course.
