The Articles of Confederation and the United States Constitution
"Following the American Revolution, the United States struggles to stay united. Due to the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation, the nation was on the verge of falling apart during a time period known as the Critical Period. Thankfully, our nation's Founding Fathers met in Philadelphia to write a new plan of government for our nation known as the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Constitution solved the nations problems, united the country, and is still used today as our plan of government.

First Presidents
"Shortly after the ratification of the United States Constitution, our new form of government was put into place. Each of our first presidents had to test the new U.S. Constitution to see if it would work. In this unit we will be going over the presidencies of George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. We will examine each of the many challenges they faced during their administrations."
