This Unit Plan consists of 2 Lesson Plans that are to be executed over the course of 10 days. The material is appropriate for grades 3-5 and is specifically geared towards English Language Learners and Special Education Students. In this Unit we will be discussing culturally relevant themes that are specific to the Southwestern region of the United States, learning about influential people that have impacted New Mexico. We will also learn about and participate in the widely celebrated holiday Día de los Muertos.
