Tab 1 -- Intro
Curriculum 21: Common Core Crosswalks

What this is:
  • A collection of crosswalk documents from different states.
  • An opportunity to compare how different states are looking at the Common Core standards in relation to their current state standards.
  • An opportunity to see your state's documents (if they are available).
  • An opportunity to see what's being cut and what's being kept in terms of the Common Core standards.
  • In some cases, this is also an opportunity to see what supporting documentation states are providing with their crosswalk documents.
  • An opportunity to dialogue with other educators around the Common Core Crosswalk documents. (In "CC Meet" tab, above.)
  • For more information, or to add your state's document, contact mike@curriculum21.com or silvia@curriculum21.com

Notes

  • This information is collected here for convenience.  If you know of other documentation related to Common Core crosswalks, please email mike@curriculum21.com with the web address so that we can add it to the binder.
  • Based on our initial sweep, this binder includes all of the resources reasonably available.  Some states' crosswalks may be incomplete or may be based on one content area or grade level.  As more information is released, we will try to house it all here.
  • These links do not, at this time, represent any affiliation to Curriculum 21, Curriculum Designers, or its subsidiaries and/or faculty.  They are simply collected here so that interested persons can draw their own conclusions about their use.
  • More states will be coming on board in the near future with their own documentation.  As it is released and we are able to link to its public location, we will add it to this binder.

Please scroll to the bottom of the page to access the curriculum documents.  There are statements in the documents themselves that note changes and comparisons (in a global way, for the most part) between the Colorado standards and the Common Core. Note, too, that these documents are available in PDF, Word 2007, and previous versions of Word. Choose the one that is compatible with your computer's software.

While Iowa does not currently have a posted Crosswalk, we're including their CORE resources here, as it is the most likely place for a crosswalk to be housed should one become available.

Tab 13 -- IN
Indiana

While no specific Crosswalks are included here, the Indiana site has a plethora of resources, including videos, and someone in their state department took all of the grade level specific standards and associated appendices and separated them. (Kudos for that!)

Scroll to bottom to see some of the resources related to the Common Core.  The "Analysis" document at the bottom of the page is as close as to a crosswalk that we found.  The document makes references to standards that match or don't match.  In the subtab above is another resource, though its organization  makes it a little difficult to understand.  It makes reference to "blended" standards, but doesn't specifically point out what's new and what's in the current standards.
